Background: I’m starting a new series: “In business they say + in poetry we say”. This prose poem, Trust the Process, is written with my fellow newbie solopreneurs in mind. 🌸

Trust the Process

In business they say, a big company starts small.

In poetry we say, a butterfly did not magically appear; it grew, in time, from a caterpillar. Those soft-bodied, wormy creatures may feel they are not worthy to behold, not capable of becoming better. But they trust the process: they voraciously feed on leaves, they devote effort to creating chrysalises, they don’t give up. And then, with every circumnavigation of the earth around the sun, a metamorphosis happens: the caterpillar is gone, the butterfly is here.
