Background: Inspired by a LinkedIn post, I wrote this short poem to remind us that people’s opinion of us changes like the wind - it blows northerly, southerly, easterly and westerly.
Background: Inspired by a LinkedIn post, I wrote this short poem to remind us that people’s opinion of us changes like the wind - it blows northerly, southerly, easterly and westerly. Our opinion of ourselves is more stable, because we know ourselves better than other people know us!
Perceptions
People’s perception of you is like the wind:
It blows nowhere, with no direction.
It’s meaningless.
Your perception of yourself is like the sunshine:
It gives you lights of hope, rays of warmth.
This is meaningful.
